Big Week

The first week of August was a big week in the Barber house. 

• Mamaw (my mom) up watching Kamryn the whole week. Kamryn got to spend lots of time outside. Playing everything SHE wanted to play. And some shopping.  You know, the usual Grandma-type things :)
• On Tuesday, August 2, when I came home from work Kamryn and Mamaw were finishing up swimming in Kamryn's wading pool.  Since it was time to come inside and start supper, I told Kamryn we needed to go change and take her swimsuit off.  Since we were stripping down, I asked her if she wanted to try to potty ont he big girl potty.  She nodded and said "yeaaa". So we went into the bathroom and sat down on her potty. And I was shocked!! My baby girl peed on the potty!!! Oh I was so proud!! We cleaned up, and danced and high fived and got a special treat! Unfortunately it hasn't happened again.  We've been trying but Kamryn always says "Noooo" when you ask her if she wants to try and true to her word she never goes.  So, we are "working" on potty training but we aren't too worried about it yet...just trying it when she agrees. 
• Saturday August 6 - Kamryn's first hair cut!!!!!!!  She barely has enough hair to cut but what she did have went straight down the front and straight down the back. Think uncombed mohawk.  So I trusted the one and only person who I let cut my hair, Krystal, to cut Kamryn's.  She did pretty ok. She HAD to sit on Mamaw's lap. She refused to wear the cape.  But she did let Krystal actually comb and cut it.  Glad Krystal's hubby, Nick, was on hand to help distract Kamryn too!
